How we work: the EasyVisa visa run in one minute

People often ask us what actually happens between sending a message and getting a new entry stamp. So we made a short, friendly video that walks through the whole service in about a minute, and wrote down the same steps below for anyone who would rather read.

Subtitles follow the language of this page, and you can switch to any of our seven languages with the subtitles button on the player.

Before you travel: a free pre-check and your new e-visa

Everything starts with a message. Send us your passport details, your current visa and its expiry date, ideally three to five days before you want to travel. A coordinator checks whether a visa run is the right route for your visa type, which border gate fits where you are staying, and whether your nationality needs a visa for Laos. The check is free and you are under no obligation to book.

Next comes the new Vietnam e-visa. You apply on the official government portal, and we walk you through the form so that nothing is left to guesswork — above all the entry checkpoint, which must name the gate you will actually come back through. The approved e-visa cannot be changed at the border, so this is the step we check most carefully. Do not travel until the new e-visa is approved and every detail on it is correct.

On the day: pickup, the road to Lao Bao and the crossing

Your driver collects you from your hotel or apartment early in the morning — around 5:00 in Da Nang, with pickup in Hoi An and Hue included in the published price. The drive to the Lao Bao border takes about four and a half to six hours, with breakfast and comfort stops on the way, and we keep you updated throughout.

At the border our team explains each counter before you reach it: you exit Vietnam, enter and leave Laos at Dansavanh, then re-enter Vietnam on your new e-visa. Some nationalities are visa-exempt in Laos and others pay for a Visa on Arrival; the Laos e-visa is not accepted at this crossing.

After the crossing: home the same evening

Once everyone has their stamps, we head back after lunch and drop you at your address in the evening, usually around 18:30 for Da Nang. Before you leave the car we look at your new entry stamp together, so you know exactly how long your new stay runs. If you would like, we will also remind you before that one ends.

What we promise, and what we cannot

  • Clear prices: our service fee is always shown apart from the Vietnam e-visa fee and any Laos visa fee.
  • A human coordinator confirms eligibility, the total cost and availability before you pay anything.
  • Guidance at every step, from the e-visa form to the border counters.
  • We cannot decide entry: only the immigration authorities of Vietnam and Laos do, and rules and fees can change.

Frequently asked questions

How long does an EasyVisa visa run take?

From Da Nang the day usually takes 10 to 13 hours door to door: pickup around 5:00, the Lao Bao border before midday and drop-off in the evening. Border queues or weather can make it longer, so keep your evening flexible.

Do I need my new e-visa before the trip?

Yes. Apply before you travel and wait for the approval. The e-visa must name the border gate you will re-enter through — Lao Bao for this route — and it cannot be changed at the border.

Is the pre-check really free?

Yes. Send us your passport and visa details and we will tell you whether a visa run fits your case before you book or pay anything.

Can I watch the video in my language?

The narration is in English, with subtitles in English, Vietnamese, French, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Russian. The subtitles follow the language of the page you open.
