Da Nang visa run price comparison: what the fare really buys

The cheapest advertised Da Nang visa run is not automatically the cheapest comparable journey. A bus seat from a meeting point, a five-person door-to-door shared car and a private car priced per vehicle are different products—even when all three reach Lao Bao on the same day.

We checked public provider pages and recent traveller reports on 16 September 2026. Prices and schedules can change, so this is a transparent market snapshot, not a claim that another provider must honour an old screenshot. The useful comparison is: total payable cost, pickup method, passenger count, who travels with you and which visa or border fees sit outside the headline price.

2026 Da Nang visa run prices: a like-for-like snapshot

Lynn Visa's public service page describes an inclusive limousine-bus trip, English-speaking staff, border guidance and departures from its office or named Hoi An points, but it does not publish a bookable fare on that page. Two recent customers independently reported paying about VND 3.9M for a single-entry trip and VND 4.5M for multiple entry; treat those as traveller reports, not Lynn's guaranteed current quote.

Other providers publish lower transport-only seats as well as bundled visa-run prices. That range is real, but a low seat price should not be compared with a supported, door-to-door package until visa handling, official fees, border assistance and pickup are put into the same column.

Currency conversions can distort a comparison. Ask every provider for one written total in the same currency and for the same visa type. VND equivalents of USD amounts on this page are estimates at the Vietcombank rate of 26,170 VND/USD on 26/09/2026.

Why Easy Visa Run can cost slightly more

Those choices create real operating cost: more pickup time, fewer customers sharing the vehicle cost and a second team member on the journey. The premium is therefore attached to capacity and labour that the customer can verify, not to a vague 'VIP' label.

This does not make a large scheduled bus a bad choice. A confident solo traveller who lives near its meeting point may reasonably prefer the lower fare. Easy Visa Run is aimed at people who value a small group, collection from their address and one person free to focus on the border while the driver focuses on the road.

  • Door-to-door pickup and return: the route starts and ends at the confirmed hotel, apartment or address instead of requiring every customer to reach one central meeting point.
  • A maximum of five paying customers in a shared car: the service does not fill a 16-seat or 29-seat bus before treating the departure as viable.
  • Two distinct roles: a professional driver concentrates on the 10–13-hour road journey while a guide stays with the group for documents, communication and the border sequence.
  • The shared price includes the official fee of about VND 650,000 (USD 25) for one single-entry Vietnam e-visa; multiple entry requires only the official difference of about VND 650,000 (USD 25).
  • The quote covers preparation, route coordination and border support, not only a seat from Da Nang to Lao Bao.

Shared car: maximum five customers, not an open-ended group

Easy Visa Run caps each shared-car departure at five customers. The cap makes the pickup list, rest stops and border group easier to coordinate, and each person can identify the driver and the guide responsible for the day.

Door-to-door does not mean an exact minute can be guaranteed for every address. The team confirms a pickup window and sensible route the evening before. Weather, traffic and immigration queues can still change the schedule, but a customer is not asked to arrange a pre-dawn transfer to an unfamiliar assembly point.

Shared-car price: VND 4.5M per person, including one single-entry Vietnam e-visa fee of about VND 650,000 (USD 25). A nationality-dependent Laos government fee remains separate and is disclosed before booking.

Private car: VND 7.6M per car for 2–5 travellers, no per-person surcharge

The private car is for 2–5 travellers. Easy Visa Run charges one service fee of VND 7.6M for the whole car—the dedicated vehicle, driver, guide, door-to-door pickup, document coordination and border support—with no per-person surcharge, whether two or five people travel.

Each traveller then pays only the fixed Vietnam e-visa government fee, passed on at cost: about VND 650,000 (USD 25) for single entry or about VND 1.31M (USD 50) for multiple entry. With single-entry e-visas, two people pay VND 8.9M in total (about VND 4.45M each), while five people pay VND 10.85M (about VND 2.17M each). If a customer's nationality requires a Laos government payment, that official third-party charge is identified separately rather than disguised as an Easy Visa Run fee.

Seven questions to ask before choosing the cheapest quote

A provider can answer these questions differently and still offer a legitimate service. The point is to compare the day you will actually receive, not to force unlike products into one price ranking.

  • Is this price per seat, per person or for the whole vehicle?
  • Is pickup at my address or at one fixed meeting point?
  • What is the maximum number of customers on the departure?
  • Does one person drive and guide, or are there a driver and a separate guide?
  • Is the Vietnam government fee of about VND 650,000 (USD 25) for single entry or about VND 1.31M (USD 50) for multiple entry included?
  • Does my nationality need a Laos visa, and is that official fee included or separate?
  • Can I receive the complete written total before paying?

Bottom line: pay for the service level you will use

Choose a scheduled bus or transport-only seat when price is the priority and you are comfortable reaching the meeting point and managing the uncovered items. Choose Easy Visa Run shared car when doorstep pickup, a five-customer cap and a separate guide reduce more stress than the small saving elsewhere. Choose the private car when two people want privacy and flexibility, or when a group of up to five wants to split one car fee.

Prices, official fees and schedules change. Easy Visa Run confirms the route, passenger count, included visa component and any nationality-dependent official payment in writing before money is committed. Immigration authorities alone decide visa approval and entry.

Frequently asked questions

Is Easy Visa Run more expensive than Lynn Visa?

Recent travellers reported about VND 3.9M for Lynn single entry and VND 4.5M for multiple entry, while Easy Visa Run shared car is VND 4.5M per person. They are not identical products: Easy Visa Run collects and returns customers at their address, caps the shared car at five and sends both a driver and a separate guide.

How many people share an Easy Visa Run car?

A shared-car departure has no more than five paying customers. The driver and guide are team members, not part of that customer cap.

Does the VND 8.9M private-car price cover two people?

Yes. With single-entry e-visas, VND 8.9M is the all-in total for two travellers: the VND 7.6M Easy Visa Run service fee for the whole car plus two e-visa government fees of about VND 650,000 each. A third, fourth or fifth traveller adds only their own e-visa fee, with no Easy Visa Run surcharge.

Are there truly no other costs for an extra private-car traveller?

Easy Visa Run adds no per-person surcharge: each extra traveller pays only the Vietnam e-visa government fee at cost, about VND 650,000 (USD 25) for single entry or about VND 1.31M (USD 50) for multiple entry. A Laos government fee may still apply by nationality; it is a third-party official charge and is disclosed separately.

Why have a guide as well as a driver?

The driver needs to focus on a long road day. The separate guide manages group communication, documents and the four border-control steps, and can escalate an unusual case to the coordinator.
